Koutalidis Law Firm advised the Greek systemic banks in connection with the financing of Athens International Airport through the issuance of bond loans totalling up to EUR946 million. The financings were closed in August and November 2024, and included the firm's review and drafting of financing and security documents, coordination of conditions precedent, and issuance of legal opinions.
Koutalidis Law Firm advised Aegean Baltic Holding, controlled by entrepreneur Aristotelis Mistakidis, on the acquisition of majority control over Aegean Baltic Bank. The deal involved the negotiation and drafting of a Term Sheet, Share Purchase Agreements, and a new set of articles of association, and was closed on February 6 2025.
Koutalidis Law Firm advised the Consortium comprising Fraport AG Frankfurt Services Worldwide, Delta Airport Investments, and Pileas Holdings on the tender process for the concession of the Kalamata International Airport for a duration of forty years. The Consortium was nominated the Preferred Bidder, and the deal involved a variety of legal issues due to the regulatory framework pertaining to the operation of airports.
Nikos Salakas, the firm’ former head of banking & finance and co-head of capital markets, moved to Alpha Bank in April 2024.
