KLC Law Firm was established in 2000 in Athens through the merger of three law firms. The firm is especially well known for its digital banking and project finance work. This year, the team, led by Evi Dimitropoulou, advised National Bank of Greece on the financing of a battery storage project developed by a local subsidiary of Elsewedy Electric. This is one of the first project finance transactions for batter storage projects in Greece. Dimitropoulou also advised Piraeus Bank on a joint venture with Qualco that will act as a credit intermediary targeted to the digital process of mortgage loans. This is the first platform that will utilize AI tools for credit processing. In addition to National Bank of Greece and Piraeus Bank, key clients of the firm include CrediaBank, Snappi Bank, Nikos Makropoulos – Europe Insurance, Motor Oil Renewables, Edison, Lightsource, Pharos Pharmaceuticals, the Ministry of Environment and Energy, Domes, Independent Power Transmission Operator, and Karatzis Group.
