Highlights

Potamitis Vekris acted as legal advisors to Attica Bank for its merger with Pancreta Bank, the agreement between its shareholders, and the capital actions of Attica Bank. The firm also handled two significant transfer risk securitization transactions, which involved unwinding pre-existing securitizations and re-transferring assets. The deals closed in September 2024 for the merger, November 2024 for capital actions, and January 2025 for securitizations. 
 
Potamitis Vekris advised GEK Terna on the acquisition of Terna Energy by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company Masdar. The deal, which closed in November 2024, was valued at approximately 3.3 billion USD and involved jurisdictions including Greece, Abu Dhabi, Poland, Bulgaria, and the USA. 
 
Potamitis Vekris advised PPC, the largest power generation company in Greece, in establishing a strategic cooperation with Mytilineos for the development and construction of solar projects with a total capacity of up to 2000MW across Italy, Croatia, Romania, and Bulgaria. The deal closed in April 2024.
