Meet the Team


  • John Crabb

    Managing editor, IFLR & Practice Insight

    John has been with IFLR since 2015. As managing editor for IFLR and Practice Insight, he manages the team, produces and edits content for both titles, and chairs and presents at award ceremonies and events globally. He covers a wide range of corporate finance issues, with a particular interest on emerging markets including Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa and the impact of the US political system on financial regulation.

  • Ben Naylor

    Editor, IFLR1000

    Ben began his journalism career at The Independent as an editorial assistant on the news desk and a writer and columnist for the weekly property supplement. He joined the IFLR1000 as a researcher in 2011. He became EMEA editor in 2015 and has been global editor since 2018.

  • Prin Shasiharan

    Senior commercial editor

    Prin drives thought leadership with global advisors for IFLR’s insight publications, in addition to managing global contributions for IFLR's platforms. He also manages commercial collaborations for other NextGen brands including The Deal, Managing IP and ITR. He has been with Euromoney since 2018 and previously worked with international organisations such as the Council of Europe and the United Nations.

    Karry joined the IFLR team in October 2017. She covers all aspects of financial regulation across Asia and has a particular interest in corporate governance, ESG and data privacy. Based in Hong Kong SAR, she has been with Euromoney since December 2015. Previously, she worked in sustainability education and policy research.

  • Alice Tchernookova

    Senior reporter

    Alice is senior reporter for IFLR, with a responsibility for Practice Insight, where she covers a wide range of EU financial regulation. She regularly touches base with market participants positioned both on the buy and sell side, but also with a large number of advisors and consultants across all parts of the market. She is particularly focused on benchmark reform and Brexit.

  • Thomas Helm


    Thomas has worked for a variety of online and print outlets, including Kashmir Observer, La Vanguardia, and Hürriyet Daily News. He joined Practice Insight as a reporter in 2019, covering the Libor transition, Basel III and Mifid II, among other regulatory initiatives.

  • Noah Zuss

    Americas reporter

    Noah joined IFLR as the Americas reporter in March 2021. He covers corporate finance news and trends, regulation and financial policy. Noah previously was a writer and reporter for several financial news outlets, including and Fund Intelligence Group. He is from and lives in Brooklyn, New York.

  • Lucy Frost

    EMEA Reporter

    Lucy joined IFLR as a reporter in 2021. Before this, she graduated from Oxford University and completed an NCTJ Diploma in Multimedia Journalism while interning at the Financial Times. She covers a wide range of areas including regulation, M&A and ESG. With a background in sustainability and financial journalism, she is particularly interested in the role of the private sector in the transition to net-zero.

  • James Wilson

    Head of awards research

    James is head of the awards research team. James has led the research across IFLR’s awards for several years and also leads on the ITR awards. He is responsible for developing strategy and best practice across Euromoney’s awards to ensure that they all remain best-in-class in their respective industries. James previously worked as EMEA editor for IFLR1000 and commercial editor for IFLR.

  • John Harrison

    Awards researcher, legal awards lead

    John is a researcher on Euromoney’s awards research team with responsibility for the legal awards. John has led the research for the Women in Business Law, Rising Star, Life Sciences and ITR awards. He covers a wide array of legal specialisms globally and has supported on IFLR’s Asia-Pacific, Americas and Europe awards. John is based in the UK and has been a part of the Euromoney group since 2019. He obtained his LLB in 2020.

  • Sophie Astles

    Awards editor

    Sophie is an editor on the awards research team. She has led research on IFLR awards in both the Middle East and India, and also works on awards across the Euromoney, GlobalCapital and Insurance Insider portfolios. Sophie is the main point of contact for Euromoney’s Awards for Excellence and GlobalCapital’s Derivatives awards and is based in the UK. She joined the Euromoney group in 2021 from another legal benchmarking business.

  • Jamie Rayat

    Awards editor

    Jamie is an editor on the awards research team. He has led research on the IFLR Africa Awards and The Deal awards, and is focussing on the development of in-house categories across the legal awards. He is based in the UK and joined the Euromoney group in 2021 from another legal benchmarking business.

    Liam heads up business development at IFLR, IFLR1000 and LMG Analytics. Among his responsibilities are rolling out new data platforms across the group, managing large thought leadership packages, and increasing the scope of the IFLR awards and IFLR1000 research.

    Melanie is the sales manager for IFLR events in Europe and the IFLR Women in Business Law Group. IFLR produces five high-level conferences and summits annually, attracting more than 1,000 senior in-house counsel from multinational organisations. Melanie collaborates with firms to showcase their expertise through speaking and sponsoring IFLR events.
