Effie Papoutsi

Effie is a banking and finance partner at Koutalidis Law Firm where she has been working since 2007. Specialising in financing transactions and NPL portfolio sales and securitisations, Effie represents predominantly banks as lenders, originators and equity or debt issuers.

Advised 

• the Joint Lead Managers in the issuance by the Hellenic Republic of €2,500,000,000 GGBs due 2026. 
• Alpha Bank, Eurobank, HSBC and Piraeus Bank in the refinancing of the Golden Hall project, a mall managed by Lamda Development. 
• Alpha Bank, Eurobank, NBG and Piraeus  Bank, on the creation of an innovative servicing platform managed by doBank S.p.A. for approx. €2bn of common NPLs (Project Solar). 
• Alpha Bank A.E. in the securitization of a secured NPL portfolio and, together with Alpha Leasing S.A., in the sale of REOs of approximately Euro 1.0 billion to funds managed by Apollo Global Management and IFC (Project Jupiter).
• Piraeus Bank in the sale of a retail NPL portfolio of Euros 2.238 billion to APS (Project Arctos).

• Piraeus Group in the sale of a mixed portfolio of loan and leasing NPLs (Project Iris)
• the lenders of Elliot – Centerbridge, as purchasers of an NPL portfolio sold by NBG (Project Symbol).
