Cristian Dranca is a seasoned lawyer with 17 years of professional experience.

Cristian's diverse expertise covers a broad range of public procurement and public-private partnership (PPP) matters, defence procurement, corporate/M&A, and commercial law.

In the public procurement and PPP field, he assists clients throughout all stages of public procurement procedures and represents them in challenging or defending procurement awards before the National Council for Solving Public Procurement Complaints and the courts of appeal. He has been involved in major infrastructure projects in Romania, including highways, railways, ports, airports, metro systems, water management infrastructure, and energy projects.

Cristian also has extensive experience advising on both domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances.

• Assisted a Spanish construction company during the tendering and implementation phases of various procurement procedures and related contracts for major railway infrastructure projects in Romania, with a cumulative value exceeding EUR 10 billion.
• Assisted a leading German technology company specialising in sustainable mobility solutions in connection with its participation in Romanian public procurement procedures, including the acquisition of electric trains by the Romanian State (approximately EUR 1 billion) and the modernisation of railway safety and interlocking systems through various procurement processes exceeding EUR 5 billion in aggregate value.
• Assisted a major US aircraft manufacturer operating in the global security and aerospace sector in relation to Romanian State procurement programmes involving multipurpose sea and land emergency intervention helicopters, next-generation multirole combat aircraft, and unmanned aircraft systems.
• Advised a Canadian manufacturer of luxury winter clothing on the acquisition of a knitting manufacturing business operated in Romania by certain Italian designers.
• Assisted, as part of an international team of advisers, CANCOM SE, one of Germany's leading integrated IT service providers, in the acquisition of K-Businesscom -Group and its subsidiaries, Austria's leading provider of IT and telecommunications solutions and services.
