Located in Zurich, Advestra is a relatively new firm founded in 2020. Founders of the new firm came over from Bär & Karrer. The firm specializes in financial and corporate law. 


Highlights



The firm advised Novartis on the Swiss law aspects of a USD 6 billion multi-tranche notes offering comprising seven tranches, including six fixed-rate notes and one floating-rate note. Issued by Novartis Capital Corporation and guaranteed by Novartis AG, the transaction supported the group’s long-term funding strategy and access to international debt capital markets. The mandate included advice on Swiss legal, transactional and regulatory aspects of the issuance.


 Advestra advised the Joint Global Coordinators and Joint Bookrunners on the IPO of SMG Swiss Marketplace Group on SIX Swiss Exchange. The offering, comprising a secondary sale by existing shareholders, had a placement volume of up to CHF 1.04 billion including the over-allotment option. Advestra advised on Swiss law aspects of the transaction, including due diligence, prospectus and transaction documentation, and listing and regulatory requirements.
