Highlights  

MMC Asafo acted as external legal advisors for Tranche I and II of the Development Bank of Rwanda’s US$ 103,000,000 sustainability-linked bond programme on the Rwanda Stock Exchange. The team, led by Esther Omulele, identified legal and regulatory requirements, conducted due diligence, and prepared due diligence reports and legal opinions for inclusion in the Prospectus. Tranche I was issued in November 2023 and Tranche II was issued in October 2024.  

The firm also acted as lead counsel for KEDA (Kenya) Ceramics Company in its acquisition of the movable and immovable assets from Ramoda Ceramics Limited. The team, led by Esther Omulele, conducted due diligence, identified potential risks, and ensured a legally sound acquisition. They were also responsible for drafting, negotiating, and reviewing of transaction documents. The transaction was completed in November 2024.
