- Advising Zucchetti Group on the acquisition of zadego GmbH and its “easybooking” hospitality platform, including its German subsidiary, in a competitive limited auction process.

Recent case highlights:
- Advising the financing banks and around 50 promissory note loan creditors on the complex restructuring of Pierer Industries AG and the financial recovery of the Pierer/KTM Group, particularly focusing on the continuation financing for KTM AG’s insolvency proceedings across key distribution subsidiaries with diverse financing structures.
- Advising NIKE in the collaps of one of the two main Austrian central purchasing networks “Zentrasport” for retail on the Austrian market. The work of fwp not only comprised not only the challenge to avoid losses due to short-lived sports merchandise but also to deal for Nike the challanging situation to transfer the relationship for the sale of good to another entity in Germany as well as the restructuring of collateral.
- Advising Montana Tech Components AG (MTC) on its financial restructuring/refinancing, including the sale of shares in VARTA AG (a division of MTC specializing in battery solutions). The restructuring particularly involved the financial restructuring of the holding company with three term loans and a revolving credit facility, along with provision of collateral in various jurisdictions.

Recent transactional highlights:
- Advising the Austrian public railway group ÖBB in various complex proceedings, including the Brenner-Nordzulauf, which is a cross-border railway expansion to improve connectivity between Austria and Italy. We advise on the approval process for the Brenner North Access on the Austrian side, a key section of the Scandinavian-Mediterranean Corridor. As one of Europe’s most critical railway connections, the project presents major regulatory challenges, particularly for the cross-border section, requiring alignment of German and Austrian approval systems and initiating an ESPOO procedure.
- Advising the Vienna Health Fund in relation to the development and implementation of an organized colorectal cancer screening programme for the Viennese population. In particular, fwp advises on the design and implementation of a procurement procedure for the procurement of the services required for the program.
- Advising wohnfonds wien, the company founded to provide land for state-subsidised housing construction, on the preparation of a legal "roadmap" for the development of the Rothneusiedl urban expansion area, which is one of the largest urban development projects currently ongoing in Austria In particular we are advising with regard to the planning and development of the area as well as in connection with the distribution of the property areas to individual developers and the drafting of the relevant contracts.
