Thomas Trettnak is a long-standing and key partner in our firm’s M&A practice. He is concentrating in mergers & acquisitions and corporate reorganizations with a special focus on insolvency & restructuring as well as venture capital and private equity mandates across the CEE region.
In 2007/2008, Thomas worked in-house in M&A for STRABAG SE, a listed construction company, and made partner in 2010. He is particularly renowned for cross-border transactions, often for Anglo-Saxon clients in view of his admission to the New York Bar.
He heads the firm’s CEE Practice Group in M&A & Restructuring and integrates our CEE network in a number of cross-border M&A deals as well as restructurings.
- Advise to the French investment fund OMNES Capital, a large cap French investment that acquired a stake in CCE Holding, a merger of two photovoltaic specialists from Germany and Austria.This is one of the largest PV (photovoltaic) deals in Austria and CEE with approx. EUR 200 MIO of deal volume.

- Advise to prominent creditor groups in the largest insolvency of Austria ever, the multi-billion SIGNA Holding and SIGNA Prime insolvencies
