Biography
Founding Partner at Headrick since 1985. Her career has focused on corporate and business law, intellectual property, foreign investments, banking law, and financing. Ms. Fernández is currently Chair of the Latin American Council of the International Section of the New York Bar Association (NYSBA).
Recent transactional highlights
- Advised development banks: DEG, FMO and BIO in a US$60 MM financing to Montecristi Solar FV., S.A.S., to finance the construction of a 57 MW solar power plant.
- Advised the Blackstone group in the acquisition of Spanish-based gaming and leisure giant Cirsa Gaming Corporation, S.A.
- Head of the Intellectual Property Department of the firm, representing important pharmaceutical companies (Pfizer, Merck, Johnson & Johnson, among others) and industrial concerns in such matters.
