Hans Kristoferitsch is a partner with CERHA HEMPEL since 2013 and head of the firm’s public law practice group. Since January 2020, Hans also became head of the new Department Regulatory and White Collar. Prior to joining CERHA HEMPEL, he was an assistant professor for EU law at the University for Economics and Business in Vienna where he continues to teach EU-law. Hans’ expertise lies in the area of EU law, among other things, and he is renowned as one of the leading Austrian attorneys in state aid law. Furthermore, he advises in all fields of public law, including constitutional law, energy law and administrative law.

- Representing the Republic of Austria in several State aid cases before the European Commission and the European Courts
- Representing Austrian highway operator ASFINAG in three court cases brought by several transport companies for recovery of road charges they deem to have been illegally introduced
