Founded in 1991, Soemadipradja & Taher performs consistently well in banking and finance, capital markets, M&A and project development. 

In banking, the firm has experience in acting for lenders and borrowers on financing and debt restructuring. The capital markets team has experience of advising on IPOs, bonds issues and rights issues across a range of industries. The corporate team is often engaged to help on market entry and regulatory compliance work, while the projects team serves sponsors, government bodies and contractors in the infrastructure, mining and natural resources, oil and gas, and energy sectors.  

Highlights  

The banking team represented both lenders and borrowers in domestic financings, including advising PT Performance Motors Indonesia on its facility agreement with PT Bank ANZ Indonesia to ensure compliance with Indonesian law and corporate governance requirements.  

In capital markets, the firm served as Indonesian counsel to the Government of Indonesia for its international sovereign debt programme. This involved advising on Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) shelf registrations, the global medium-term note programme, and liability management exercises, navigating the complex multi-jurisdictional framework of US SEC regulations and Indonesian law.
