Highlights
The firm advised Vestjysk Bank on its merger with Sydbank and Arbejdernes Landsbank, creating AL Sydbank, one of Denmark’s five largest banks. The transaction will combine lending, deposit and credit operations on a significant scale and represents a landmark consolidation in the Danish financial services sector.
The firm acted as Danish counsel to Bank J. Safra Sarasin on its acquisition of a majority stake in Saxo Bank. The mandate included Danish law due diligence, transaction documentation and regulatory approvals relating to the change of control of a systemically important financial institution.
