Work highlights

Successfully represented Petaling Jaya resident associations in compelling the Selangor State Government to release environmental, social and traffic impact assessment reports for the proposed PJD-Link highway project. The March 2025 High Court ruling marks the first time Malaysian courts have mandated disclosure of such reports for public infrastructure projects, establishing that constitutional freedom of expression includes the right to information. The landmark decision counters government claims of confidentiality under the Official Secrets Act 1972, setting a precedent for environmental rights litigation and governmental transparency.
