Speakers confirmed for IFLR Africa Forum 2013 in London

Over 20 speakers have been confirmed for the second annual IFLR Africa Forum at the Waldorf Hotel in London later this month.

The latest addition to the one-day legal conference on Tuesday, May 14 is David Turley, managing director and senior counsel at Bank of New York Mellon. He is speaking on the South Africa focus panel with Edmond Leedham, chief counsel at US Bank Global Corporate Trust Services, and Mark Bergman of Paul Weiss.

Another panel is tackling sovereign and international debt issues. It is chaired by Sylvain Dhennin of Dentons and features Amol Prabhu, director – legal at Barclays, and Tim Odell, director and deputy general counsel at Citigroup.

Ken Etim, managing partner of Banwo & Ighodalo, is chairing a focus session on Nigeria. It will discuss the regulatory framework of the country’s power sector and will cover financing considerations. Joining him is Oliver Andrews, director and chief coverage officer at Africa Finance Corporation, Lolu Adubifa, CEO of Lavaya Energy, and Kirsti Massie, partner at White & Case.

Other notable speakers include: Brian Marcus, director, project and export finance at Standard Chartered; Daniel Whitehead, deputy general counsel and director at Citibank; Tom Eldridge, partner at Dentons; Ade Adeola, managing director, project and export finance; Pedro Couto, managing partner of Couta Graça & Associados; Tim Field, partner at Addelshaw Goddard; and Iqbal Rajahbalee, managing partner at BLC Chambers.
