ABOUT THE AWARDS

The IFLR Awards celebrates the legal industry’s most innovative work, with a special focus on cutting-edge achievements in cross-border transactions. Each year, we honour the deals, teams, and firms that push boundaries and set new standards in legal practice.

Our awards recognise those reshaping financial law, from leading practitioners to rising stars, and champion innovation in legal tech, ESG, and financial regulation that enhance the global investment landscape. We hold ceremonies in Africa, America, Asiaa-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.

THE JUDGING AND RESEARCH PROCESS

The IFLR Awards is underpinned by a rigorous research process that includes in-depth analysis of written award entries, day-to-day editorial coverage of market developments, and focused interviews with lawyers and their clients.

Our team evaluates each entry based on its innovative quality and the impact of that innovation on market practice, ensuring that only the most groundbreaking achievements are recognised. We exclude consideration of deal size, deal volume, or media coverage. The internal judging process is independent and led by IFLR's research and editorial teams.

2026 submissions

For 2026, we’re simplifying things by bringing together the IFLR1000 rankings and the IFLR Awards into one easy submission process. This means less duplication and more time to focus on what matters – showcasing your firm’s work.

There will now be one submission form, and one submission date.

The 2026 IFLR Africa Awards will be a separate submission.
