Biography
Armughan is a senior associate in AMJ’s Corporate/Commercial department and has over 10 years’ experience advising clients on capital market and general corporate and commercial transactions in Pakistan and Oman. He is a qualified barrister from England and Wales and regularly advises corporate entities in connection with their initial public offering, cross-border acquisitions and disposals, investment, joint venture and restructuring.
Recent transactional highlights
- Advised Ubhar Capital SAOC on the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Gulf Baader Capital Markets SAOC from Gulf Investment Holding Co. SAOG.
- Advised Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited and Centralised Utilities Company L.L.C (Marafiq) on the share swap transaction in Duqm Power Company and Marafiq
- Acted as Omani counsel in relation to the reorganisation of Kuwait Food Company (Americana) KSCC (KFC)’s Omani corporate holding structure through working out a series of share transfers and relocating the Omani business under a new holding company.
- Acted as Omani counsel on the acquisition of AXA’s Gulf operations in Oman.
- Advised ACWA Power, Mitsui and Dhofar International Energy Services LLC on its IPO and listing on the Muscat Securities Market.
