Ardeshir Patel

Ardeshir is a Partner, and heads AMJ’s corporate/capital markets and M & A team. He works on debt and equity capital market transactions, M&A deals and advises on cross-border financial services and derivatives and securities lending transactions. 

Advised:-

• Citigroup Global Markets, on KCA Deutag UK Finance plc’s acquisition finance backed takeover of Dalma Energy. The acquisition financing involved issuance of US$ 400,000,000 9 ⁵/₈% Senior Secured Notes. The deal was recognised as IFLR (Middle East)’s M&A Deal of the year in 2018.  
• ACWA Power and Mitsui & Co. - founders of Dhofar Generating Company (DGC) on its IPO and listing on the Muscat Securities Market.
• IPIC, on Omani aspects of its merger with Mubadala Development Company. The deal was recognised as IFLR’s domestic deal of the year in 2017.  
• Mubaddarah on its US$65 million stake sale in Gulf Energy, which involved a US$ 1.1 billion business combination with a Nasdaq-listed SPAC entity;
• Renaissance Services on its $200,000,000 dual-currency (USD/OMR) perpetual bonds, which were listed on the Irish Stock Exchange by a wholly owned subsidiary.
