IFLR will announce the winners of its Asia Awards 2012 at an
awards ceremony to be held at Hong Kongs Island
Shangri-La hotel this Thursday.
Speaking at the event will be Hong Kong corporate governance
advocate David Webb and Australian Prudential Regulation
Authority chairman John Laker.
Webb, a long-standing proponent of improved non-profit
governance in Hong Kong, will reveal the deals that grabbed his
attention last year and why. He will also outline the
improvements he believes to be vital for the long-term survival
of the citys corporations.
Laker meanwhile will offer his thoughts on
the European sovereign debt crisis, its impact on the region
and what the Asian legal profession can do to ensure prudent

Following months of extensive market-wide research, winners
have been selected for their innovation, novelty and

practice areas, eleven team categories, five firm categories
and three individual awards.
