A number of high profile speakers have been confirmed for the IFLR India Outbound Investment Forum at Trident, Nariman Point in Mumbai on July 5. The event is free for in-house counsel and will discuss Indias place in the global M&A market, including the law behind the opportunities for Indian companies expanding abroad.
Bharat Vasani, chief legal & group counsel at Tata Sons, will be joining Jai Pathak of Gibson Dunn to discuss what the outbound market can learn from Indian deals. Vijaya Sampath, advisor to the chairman and group CEO at Bharti Enterprises, is a new addition to this panel.
Earlier in the day, Brijesh Koshal, managing director India at Daiwa will be on the natural resources M&A panel.
In addition Atulya Sharma, head of legal in India for Deutsche Bank will join Mohit Saraf of Luthra & Luthra and Mark Poulton of Clifford Chance to debate the best locations for raising finance.
Clifford Chances Mark Poulton will lead a eurozone panel consisting of Sanjay Bhandarkar, managing director at NM Rothschild; Wilton Henriques, president of Avantha Group; and Rambhusan Kanumuri director at Barclays
At the end of the day, Prakash Pillai of Rajah & Tann is moderating a panel on negotiating dispute resolution terms. His panelists will be: Vivekananda N., deputy head (south Asia) at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre; Santosh Parab, senior director, legal at Infrastructure Development Finance Company; and Kumar Sambasivan, vice president, legal at Suzlon Energy.
