SFC to approve structured offshore renminbi products

Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) is set to authorise the selling of structured offshore renminbi products within the next few months.

Speaking at IFLR’s Asia Capital Markets Forum, SFC’s China and investment products director of policy, Bernard Fung said the SFC had been reviewing a number of applications from different law firms and issuers and was prepared to push some products through.
