Clifford Chance has received the most nominations for this year’s IFLR Middle East awards, appearing in 14 deal and team categories.

The firm made a particularly strong showing in the debt and equity-linked and restructuring categories, contributing to its place on the International law firm of the year shortlist.

Alongside Clifford Chance, Allen & Overy and Linklaters also made an impression, with nine and eight nominations respectively. White & Case and Shearman & Sterling complete the international nominees, with both fielding particularly strong deals in the Project finance category.

Elsewhere, Freshfields wins nominations for its debt and equity-linked and M&A work, and local law firms are well-represented on deals across the region for their contributions.

The winners of the deal and team categories, as well as seven national awards, will be announced at a black-tie dinner to be held at the Burj Al Arab in Dubai on Wednesday, October 27.
