US covered bond amendment welcomed

The amendment to proposed legislation governing covered bonds has been welcomed by both Republicans and Democrats.

The Financial Services Committee of the US House of Representatives held the discussion on December 15. The amendment was suggested last month but Representative Scott Garrett withdrew his proposal after Committee Chairman Barney Franks recommended this week's hearing....
