Gide Loyrette Nouel is opening two offices in the United Arab Emirates. Lawyers at the offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will advise on banking and finance, corporate law and infrastructure and construction projects. The offices will be led by partners Sami Fakhoury and Yassir Ghorbal in Dubai and Abu Dhabi respectively.

DLA Piper has appointed Betty Louie as counsel in its Rome corporate practice. She joins the firm from K&L Gates' New York office. Louie has over a decade of corporate M&A, finance and capital markets experience and advises corporations and private equity houses in stock and asset acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, reverse mergers, recapitalisations and reorganisations.
