Industry spots flaw in SEC accounting plan

European business wants the Securities and Exchange Commission to accept IFRS as adopted in the European Union – not as in its recent proposal.

A group of 17 European business organizations, including the Union of Issuers Quoted in Europe and the European Association for Listed Companies, has told the SEC that it needs to correct a technical problem in its IFRS proposal.
