Norton Rose breaks into Italy as local firms pair off

Norton Rose is opening its first Italian office with a team of lawyers from Studio Legale Vassalli.

Vassalli's Roberto Cornetta will become managing partner of the Milan office, while energy project specialist Michael Taylor will join the venture in November together with an assistant from Norton Rose in London.

A total of eight lawyers will be joining the new Milan office from Vassalli, and the firm hopes to have 20 in place by the end of the year. The team will offer a broad range of practice areas including company, commercial and banking...
