Biography
Victor Samuel is a Senior Associate and a member of the firm’s banking and finance, energy, projects and infrastructure teams. He advises international and local clients on structuring and financing diverse infrastructure projects; syndicated lending transactions; and debt restructuring.
Recent transactional highlights
- Advised the International Finance Corporation in connection with the COVID-19 working capital solutions facilities program in an aggregate amount of US$ 275,000,000 provided to three leading Nigerian banks to ameliorate the effect of the COVID19 pandemic and dollar illiquidity in Nigeria.
- Advised AFC and RMB as Lenders in connection with the 95,000,000.00 (ninety-five million United States Dollars) facility provided by the Lenders to MTN Nigeria Communications PLC.
- Advised Daystar Power Group in connection with the USD 4 million debt financing from SunFinder Inc. for the expansion of its solar power projects.
- Advised Stanbic IBTC Capital Ltd in relation to an $11.3 million medium-term refinancing facility to Urban Shelter Limited for the purpose of refinancing an existing facility from Diamond Bank Plc.
- Advised the Nigerian Energy Support Program II (through GOPA-International Energy Consultants GmbH, a contractor of the Nigerian Energy Support Program), in connection with the development of a 10MW solar project in Kano State.
