Dan Agbor served as the Senior Partner of the law firm of Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie until 7 January 2025. During his tenure, he led the Banking & Finance, Private Equity, and Taxation teams, advising on complex corporate transactions and strategic legal matters. His extensive corporate advisory experience spans mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, derivatives transactions, debt restructuring, debt-to-equity conversions, and fund establishment.

Recent matter/case highlights
  • Advised the Carlyle Group in connection with the merger of Access Bank PLC and Diamond Bank PLC. Advised Uber on specific Nigerian law elements in connection with the expansion of their existing joint venture with Yandex into Nigeria.
  • Advised Vitol Energy S.A (“Vitol”) provision of up to USD 534,000,000 loan facilities by Vitol Energy South Africa 
  • Advised Union Bank of Nigeria PLC on on the establishment of its =N=100 billion bond programme and the subsequent issuance of bonds valued at =N=13.4 billion under 2 series of bonds.
  • Advised Lafarge Africa PLC on its N130 Billion rights issue of shares.
