• Acted as transactional legal advisor to the Bank of Tanzania (BOT) in relation to the intended bond issue by the Tanzania Mortgage Refinance Company Limited (TMRC);
• Acted as in-country transactional advisor CfC Stanbic Bank Limited and CfC Financial Services Limited as the Mandated Lead Arrangers in respect of a multicurrency medium term note programme issued by the East African development Bank in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda;
• Advised Barloworld in its acquisition of 100% equity stake in Tanzuk Limited, a Tanzanian company conducting the business of leasing motor vehicles and offering full maintenance operating leases;
• Acted as local counsel advising on the Tanzanian law aspects of the merger between Old Mutual Holdings Limited and UAP Insurance as well as representing the parties on the merger notification filed with the competition authorities;
• Advised Emirates Telecommunications Corporation on the sale of its 85% equity stake in Zanzibar Telecoms Limited (Zantel).
