Shintaro Hamasu

Shintaro Hamasu has been a partner at Atsumi & Sakai since 2015. Mr. Hamasu is a core member of the M&A Practice Group and the Finance Practice Group. He has significant M&A experience, advising both Japanese and non-Japanese clients on domestic and cross-boarder M&A transactions. He also advises banks and other financial institutions in areas including acquisition finance, real estate finance, asset finance, securitisation, project finance and debtor-in-possession finance.

• Advised a major listed Japanese manufacturing company on the acquisition of a majority shareholding health care company.
• Represented a client on the acquisition of the issued and outstanding equity interests in a US limited liability company.
• Advised a major listed bank for their acquisition finance in an acquisition by a major private equity fund.
