He specializes in corporate law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and high-stakes commercial disputes. Rui has a significant track record across different industries and is widely recognized as a leading business lawyer.
In his corporate practice, Rui represents corporates, financial institutions, investment funds and private equity firms on a wide range of cross-border and domestic transactions. His experience includes advising on complex corporate restructuring and insolvency, corporate finance, concession contracts and tax.
He often acts as a trusted counsel to companies and investors, providing legal and strategic advice at board and shareholder levels.
Besides his transactional work, Rui has considerable experience in dispute resolution, having represented clients on several high-profile shareholder and commercial disputes, land concession, patent and tax litigation.
Rui currently serves as the head of the firm’s Talent Management Committee.
