Carlos is a partner in the Corporate | M&A practice and heads the Insurance sector practice.
He advises buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, restructurings, and joint ventures across different industries. Carlos’ practice also includes advising in equity capital markets transactions, particularly in IPOs of Macau interests with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
In his insurance practice, Carlos represents life and general insurers, reinsurers, and intermediaries in a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters.
His experience includes advising on greenfield licensing, structural reorganizations, product development and localization, distribution, policies’ review, outsourcing and regulatory compliance. Carlos often provides guidance to insurance companies in adapting to shifting market and regulatory trends, such as the introduction of trust frameworks and InsurTech.
Carlos is also a key contact in our gaming sector practice, assisting gaming equipment manufacturers, technology providers, sports betting operators, as well as online and mobile gaming companies in a wide range of commercial, licensing, and regulatory matters.
