Poliana Gogu-Naum

Poliana has experience and knowledge in various areas of law, such as banking & finance and general corporate and real estate aspects. She specialises mainly in advising banks and borrowers on banking & finance matters, such as corporate finance, leveraged finance and real estate finance.

Poliana advised several international banks on syndicated and bilateral finance transactions and on real estate projects financing granted to reputed real estate developers and restructuring of the finance documents.

Poliana was awarded Rising Star for Romania at the inaugural 2019 edition of Europe Rising Stars Awards, granted by Euromoney Legal Media Group.

• The arrangers on the EUR1.15bn financing of the CME acquisition by PPF Group N.V.
• A syndicate of banks made up of Raiffeisen Bank International and Raiffeisen Bank Romania as coordinators and Raiffeisen Bank International, Banca Transilvania, UniCredit Bank, Garanti Bank and Intesa SanPaolo Romania as lenders on a USD68m credit facility granted to Alro for covering general corporate needs and working capital of the company as well as future investments
• A syndicate of banks made up of Banca Comercială Română, as coordinator, ING Bank Amsterdam – Bucharest Branch, Raiffeisen Bank and UniCredit Țiriac Bank on a USD360m credit facility granted to KMG International for refinancing some existing debts and for covering the regular demands
• Unicredit Bank AG on the financing of JD Agrococora, a large player in agribusiness market in Romania
• Česká spořitelna and Československá obchodní banka in collaboration with Banca Comercială Română on the EUR66m financing granted to Azomures for the modernisation of its urea plant
