Oghogho is the Managing Partner and the head of the Energy and Projects Practice Group at Templars. He has over 26 years of experience advising corporates, project sponsors, international oil companies, indigenous exploration and production companies, oil service companies, financiers as well as other multinationals on some of the largest energy, natural resources and infrastructure the transactions in Nigeria. 

He is widely acknowledged as one of the foremost Oil & Gas lawyers in Nigeria and has been consistently ranked in the highest band of leading Energy and Projects lawyers by IFLR 100, Chambers Global and Legal 500.

Recent transactional highlights
  • Chinese National Oil Corporation on its $15.1 billion acquisition of Nexen Inc;
  • Sinopec on its S$7.2 billion acquisition of Addax Petroleum Corporation;
  • The Bureau of Public Enterprises on the restructuring of the now defunct state-owned electricity monopoly, National Electric Power Authority;
  • Successfully obtained a US$2billion plus arbitral award for ExxonMobil and Shell in a crude entitlement dispute with the Nigerian Government;
  • BTG Pactual on the $1.53 billion acquisition of interest of Brazilian state run company in Petrobras in Nigeria;
  • Eroton Exploration & Production Company Ltd on its US$1.2 billion acquisition of 45 per cent interest in oil mining lease 18 from Shell, Total and Agip;
