Michael Steen Jensen is a partner and heads Gorrissen Federspiel’s Banking & Finance group. He advises banks and financial institutions on all aspects of financial law, securities, structured products, securitisations, project financing and regulatory matters including netting, collateral and clearing. 

Michael Steen Jensen has extensive experience in establishing, buying and selling financial institutions. 

• Acted as Danish counsel to the finance parties in relation to the financing for the acquisition of Esvagt A/S by 3i Infrastructure plc and AMP Capital. Esvagt A/S is an offshore safety and support specialist, owned by the Maersk group with a fleet of 43 vessels and more than 800 employees on and offshore;
• Acted for the Joint Lead Managers on the issue by Danica Pension of EUR 500,000,000 4.375% Tier 2 (under Solvency II) Notes due 2045;
• Assisted Finansiel Stabilitet and FS Property Finance in the transfer of a business portfolio consisting of 78 property structures with aggregate loan and credit agreements of 3,300 million DKK to LMN Finance Limited (LMN), Ireland.
