Pham Thanh Mai is Of Counsel at Frasers Law Company, based in the Hanoi office. She has over 20 years of experience advising on corporate and M&A, investment structuring, procurement regulations, and transactional negotiations. She joined Frasers in 2014 and has since worked on a wide range of high-value investment projects and transactions, particularly in power, manufacturing, technology, telecommunications, and project finance.
Mai began her career in 2000 at a leading Vietnamese law firm, before moving to the Hanoi office of an international law firm in 2007. There, she advised on M&A and project finance for major transactions, including bidding procedures and project development in energy, manufacturing, telecoms, and retail, acting for international investors, development funds, banks, and development finance institutions.
She later spent two years at a Magic Circle law firm, continuing her focus on M&A and project development across sectors such as chemicals, education, and real estate. Her work also extended to licensing, regulatory compliance, and the structuring of daily business operations for multinational clients.
Mai is recognised by IFLR1000 as a Rising Star in Projects and M&A in its 2025 rankings, underscoring her reputation as a trusted adviser on complex, high-value transactions.
She holds dual degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from Hanoi National University, Faculty of Law (2000), and a Bachelor’s in English from Hanoi University of Foreign Studies (2000).
