Frank Gerhard focuses on public and private M&A transactions, private equity and capital markets (including IPOs and innovative structures). He also advises on corporate law, corporate governance matters and securities regulations. Frank Gerhard is an authorised issuers' representative at the SIX Swiss Exchange. He is also a member of the executive board of Schweizerische Zeitschrift für Gesellschafts und Kapitalmarktrecht (GesKR), a legal periodical on corporate and capital markets law. Publications include articles on (i) convergence of private markets and public markets, (ii) Superstar-CEOs, (iii) venture capital financing in down rounds, (iv) business judgement rule, (v) SPACs and De-SPAC transactions, (vi) equity kickers, (vii) merger of equals, (viii) shareholder activism and settlement, (x) banking M&A, (xi) takeover offers vs. mergers, (xii) spin-offs and demergers, (xiii) company valuations and appraisal rights, (xiv) PIPEs, (xv) private equity financing and exits, (xvi) cross-border triangular mergers.

- Advised Avolta (formerly Dufry) in M&A, corporate and capital markets matters, in its strategic combination with Autogrill;
- Advised Clariant in the sale of various of its worldwide division, e.g. the Pigments and Masterbatches businesses, and in the aborted merger of equals with Huntsman;
- Advised EQT in various transactions, namely its transaction with L’Oréal regarding Galderma;
- Advised Idorsia on its holistic restructuring.
