Biography
Vu Dzung focuses on banking and finance, capital markets and corporate matters. His major clients include both state-owned and international banks as well as domestic and international private equity funds active in Vietnam. Dzung has led numerous significant asset financing transactions, especially aircraft financings, and project financings, in particular infrastructure financings.
Recent transactional highlights
- Advised Military Bank, one of leading commercial joint stock banks in Vietnam, regarding its private placement of USD 75 million new shares and sale of USD 25 million treasury shares to a group of foreign investment funds;
- Advised Thailand’s Central Group on its complete acquisition of Nguyen Kim. Central Group acquired an additional 51% stake in NKT New Solution and Technology Development Investment Joint Stock Company, which owns Nguyen Kim Trading Joint Stock Company;
- Advised Prudential in relation to Prudential Holborn Life Limited’s sale of 100% equity in Prudential Vietnam Finance Company Limited (PVFC) to Shinhan Card Co., Ltd.
- Advised JD.com in the acquisition of 21.20% with an option to raise up to 35% shareholding in Ti Ki Corporation (“Tiki”), Vietnam’s leading B2C e-commerce platform. Upon closing, JD.com will become one of the largest shareholders of Tiki.
- Advised Mobile World Investment Corporation (MBW), the leading retail group of diversified product categories including mobile phones and consumer electronics, in its issuance of VND1,135 billion bonds on domestic market.
- Advised Masan Group Corporation (MSN) and its subsidiaries in various bond issuances on domestic market.
