Damilola is particularly familiar with financing the development of infrastructure projects and has advised on the acquisition and development of upstream, midstream, and downstream petroleum assets. He routinely advises borrowers, sponsors, development financial institutions, commercial banks and others, international oil companies and indigenous oil and gas companies.
Recent transactional highlights
- Advised the investor in relation to the provision of up to USD3.15 billion financing for the development of an oil and gas asset in Nigeria held by Nigeria Petroleum Development Company Limited.
- Advised the Sellers on the divestment of their shares in Forte Oil Plc. (the Company) valued at USD177Million, constituting 74.02% of the Company’s issued share capital.
- Advised on the US$3 billion hybrid financing for the development of NLNG’s seventh liquefaction train.
- Advised IFC Venture Capital, a member of the World Bank Group, as Nigerian counsel in connection with its USD23milion investment in Bolt Technology OU (Bolt/Taxify), an Estonian technology ride hailing company.
