Cristian Bumbac is a Senior Associate at Leroy și Asociații and a member of the Bucharest Bar. As part of the firm's Banking & Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Corporate teams, Cristian brings a decade of experience advising both international and domestic clients on complex M&A transactions and financial projects.
A graduate of the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Law, Cristian has built a strong practice advising on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, representing both buyers and sellers, as well as on financing transactions and regulatory matters involving major institutional players. His expertise also covers derivative financial instruments, repos, and securities lending agreements.
Cristian plays an active role in Romania’s financial legal landscape, contributing to the work of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA), the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA), and the International Securities Lending Association (ISLA) as part of the Romanian legal team advising these leading global associations.
