Claudia Pereira

Claudia has extensive experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance law, contract law and arbitration. She obtained her LLM from Georgetown University. As the co-head of the banking and finance practice group, she has handled complex matters and obtained excellent results because of her expertise in this field.

• Counsel for project financing and general loans for national and international clients, including secured transactions for clients such as Citibank, Societe Generale, JP Morgan Chase Bank, DEG, General Electric Capital Corporation, among others.
• Counsel to Banco Industrial and Citibank in the securitization of diversified payment rights and other bond issuances.
• Counsel in the privatization process of the Guatemalan energy distribution companies DEOCSA and DEORSA.
• Assisted multinational pharmaceutical company, Sanofi-Aventis, in the creation of option plans for their employees.
• Advised financial institutions such as Credit Suisse, Citibank, Banco de Occidente and Banca Davivienda on important financial and banking matters.
