- SMPS Legal advised Niedax Group, one of the leading suppliers of cable management systems worldwide, in the restructuring of its Mexican subsidiary, for a joint venture with ABB, a global technology leader in electrification and automation, through the formation of Abnex Inc.
- SMPS Legal advised Grupo Axo on tax matters regarding the cross-border acquisition by TJ Maxx of 49% of the shareholdings in Multibrand. The TJX Companies, Inc., a Fortune 100 company, is the leading off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the U.S. and worldwide, seeking to expand its business through this Joint Venture in Mexico.
- SMPS Legal represented PesoRama, a Mexican value dollar store retailer, operating under the JOI Dollar Plus brand, in the revolving credit facility in the amount of US$ 20.0 million granted by Third Eye Capital Corporation, one of the Canada's leading alternative capital providers. The Loan will support the Company’s continued expansion through the construction of new JOi Dollar Plus Stores in Mexico and the expansion of the Company’s inventory and product offerings.
