Firm overview

Greenberg Traurig has one of the leading Korea practices among international law firms, consisting of over 30 Korean speaking attorneys located in the firm’s Seoul, Singapore and U.S. offices. The practice is led by Richard Edlin, Vice Chair of the firm, and C.J. Kim, Managing Shareholder of the Seoul office, who, together, have decades of experience advising Korean and international clients with respect to both inbound and outbound matters. Our attorneys are bilingual in both the Korean language and business culture and provide first-in-class service in a range of practice areas, including cross border M&A and joint ventures, capital markets, private equity, venture capital, investment funds, project financing, energy and infrastructure, real estate, intellectual property, litigation, arbitration, regulatory and immigration.

The Seoul office was established in 2013 as a U.S. foreign legal consultant office. We are one of the few U.S. law firms in Korea with a true multidisciplinary practice with on-the-ground attorneys actively advising Korean and international clients to meet their business needs. For matters involving Korean law, we have strong relationships with established Korean law firms whom we partner with to provide one-stop-shop services to our clients. Greenberg Traurig’s successful Korea practice was recognized by the Asia Business Law Journal, which selected Greenberg Traurig as the Best Foreign Law Firm in 2022 and 2023.
