Aequo advised the EIB and Oschadbank on a €50 million loan and €30 million investment grant to support the reconstruction and modernisation of Ukraine’s heat generation and energy distribution infrastructure. The mandate involved advising on the Ukrainian law aspects of the financing and transaction documentation for a strategically significant energy resilience programme aimed at strengthening municipal energy security and heat supply.

The firm also advised Green Genius on the sale of two operational solar power plants in Ukraine to Foxtrot, one of the country's leading consumer electronics retailers. The mandate involved transaction structuring, negotiation of acquisition documentation, and advice on corporate, regulatory and energy-sector matters, including navigating wartime regulatory constraints and cross-border elements involving Cyprus, the Netherlands and Ukraine.
