Founded in 1991, Pham & Associates is the oldest and one of the most prominent IP Law firms in Vietnam. With strong practice groups in both IP prosecution and contentious matters, the firm continues to be one of the largest filers in Vietnam and is very experienced in conducting appeal, opposition and invalidation procedures with the National Office of Intellectual Property (NOIP) and related agencies, suing in court to resolve IP disputes or negotiating to reach out-of-court agreements and providing expert opinions on IP matters. Since 2001, the company also provides legal consulting services on business law in Vietnam.
The Staff
With the staff of 110+, including 14 attorneys-at-law, 34 IP attorneys and 30 consultants we work in all technical areas, particularly in chemistry, mechanics, electronics, pharmaceuticals, bio- technology, material science and telecommunications. To date, Pham & Associates has filed in total about 33,000 trademark , 19,000 patent and 7,500 industrial design applications and currently represents nearly 2,000 clients in 40 countries. The firm is also the largest filer of PCT applications designating Vietnam.
Equipped with a self-designed, full-featured docketing software and an updated IP database our attorneys are able to carry out all types of searches, track the status and progress of each file at each stage and report results to clients in a timely manner.

With a head office in Hanoi and branch offices in Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang our attorneys can respond quickly to clients and meet them face-to-face at their companies to advise and give solutions, particularly when handling IP disputes and infringement cases.
Recent Awards & Ranking
The firm was ranked tier one in Vietnam for patent, trademark prosecution and contentious matters (consecutively from 2008 to 2023) by Managing IP – IP Stars; was winner of the Vietnam Patent/or Trademark Firm of the Year Award (consecutively from 2009 to 2023), by Asia IP.
In Vietnam, trademark "pa Pham & Associates, figure" is recognized as well-known mark and features in the list of the Top 50 Famous Brands in Vietnam continuously from 2016 to 2024.
