Work highlights

Successfully represented Safcol Holdings (Hong Kong) in securing full trademark protection for its Gourmers mark in Vietnam without disclaimer requirements. The June 2024 case involved overturning IP Vietnam's initial position through strategic arguments demonstrating that Gourmers did not fall under descriptive signs, common product names or uncommon languages. The successful outcome, supported by evidence of international registrations, established a significant precedent for overcoming trademark disclaimers in Vietnam's IP practice.
