Last week's IPO of Rexel saw the electrical supplies distributor come back to the equity markets two years after being taken private.
The offering was split between a Rexel primary offering and a secondary offering by a management investment vehicle.
The aggregate value of the IPO was €1.015 billion and the shares were listed on Euronext's Eurolist. They were sold internationally and the offering included a Rule 144A placement in the United States.
Rexel was advised by Debevoise & Plimpton, whose team was led by Paris partners Raman Bet-Mansour and Marc Castagnède.
Cleary Gottlieb represented BNP Paribas, Calyone, JP Morgan Securities, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch as joint bookrunners on the transaction. The principal Cleary lawyers on the transaction were John Brinitzer, Marie-Laurence Tibi, Patricia Georgiou, Elise Mannent and Alan Audi.
