Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy (“MBH”) has achieved a significant victory for H.A Construction (Hassan Allam Construction or HAC) in a dispute arising out of HAC’s undertaking the entire civil works of a fully integrated complex for manufacturing sugar. The CRCICA arbitration case was filed by H.A Construction against the employer.
The Tribunal has unanimously awarded H.A Construction a sum in excess of EGP 85 million covering the main claims, arbitration costs and legal fees, as well as legal interest. The Tribunal has further dismissed all counterclaims against H.A Construction amounting to more than EGP 40 Million.
