An in depth look at some of the most pressing financial and regulatory issues that have surfaced in the run up to the 2020 US presidential election

The impact of the 2020 US Presidential Election will be felt all across the world. It has gone beyond politics, beyond economics and beyond the normal confines of any election, even one to elect the US president. The last four years of Donald Trump have been unprecedented, and had a huge impact on the financial sector and financial law more generally.

As we look ahead to this momentous occasion, IFLR has put together a series of articles looking at some of the more pressing issues facing the legal sector: what will happen to the regulators, what will happen to regulation, what will become of Senator Elizabeth Warren, and a summary of the burgeoning SPAC market and how the election has impacted it.

The final piece has been added retroactively, following the victory of Joe Biden in November.

Enjoy the report.
